Korigen Genomics

Microbiome & Metagenomic Data Analysis
Raw Illumina FASTQ → clean, analysis-ready tables and deliverables.

What We Do

Korigen Genomics provides bioinformatics processing for microbiome and metagenomic sequencing projects, converting raw sequencing data into clean, analysis-ready datasets. We run established, reproducible workflows for quality control, taxonomic profiling, functional annotation, and genome-resolved metagenomics, removing the need to set up and maintain pipelines, databases, or high-performance computing infrastructure.By handling the computational and workflow complexity upfront, Korigen Genomics lowers the barrier to rigorous microbiome and metagenomic analysis for teams without dedicated bioinformatics support.

Data requirements: Sequencing is performed by a third-party facility. Clients provide raw FASTQ files (or a secure download link) for analysis.

Services

A) Amplicon Sequencing Processing
(16S / 18S / ITS)

Standardized processing of amplicon sequencing data into clean, analysis-ready microbiome tables.Best for: Rapid taxonomic profiling across many samples.Core outputs
• QC summary
• ASV/OTU abundance table
• Taxonomy assignment

B) Shotgun Metagenomics
Read-Based Profiling

Read-level taxonomic and functional profiling of shotgun metagenomic data, without assembly.Best for: Broad taxonomic and functional profiling without assembly.Core outputs
• QC summary
• Taxonomic abundance tables
• Functional abundance tables

C) Shotgun Metagenomics
Assembly-Based Profiling

Assembly-based analysis at the contig and gene level, independent of genome binning.Best for: Gene-centric community analysis beyond read-based profiling.Core outputs
• De novo assembly
• Non-redundant gene catalog
• Gene-level abundance and functional annotation

D) Shotgun Metagenomics
Genome-Resolved (MAGs)

Genome-resolved processing for recovery and characterization of metagenome-assembled genomes (MAGs).Best for: Organism-level resolution and genome-scale analysis.Core outputs
• Assembly and binning
• MAG quality metrics
• Genome-level taxonomy and functional annotation

Downstream analyses, visualization, and comparative analyses are available as scoped add-ons when objectives and deliverables are defined in advance.

Standard Pricing (CAD)
Pricing includes compute resources, workflow execution, and reproducibility documentation.
A) Amplicon (16S/18S/ITS): $25 / sample (min $750)
B) Shotgun read-based: $320 / sample (min $1,600)
C) Shotgun assembly-based: $800 / sample (min $3,200)
D) Shotgun MAGs: $1,150 / sample (min $4,600)
Bundles
C + D (assembly + MAGs): $1,650 / sample - Assembly is performed once; discounted combined rate.
Note: Pricing assumes standard Illumina datasets and predefined scope. Custom downstream analyses are quoted in advance.
